Commissioner Ann Lininger

Ann grew up in southern Oregon where her family has lived for generations. Ann's dad ran a family construction business and her mom worked as a teacher and school principal. Ann's parents taught her that strong communities are important, and that to create them we need capable, committed leaders.

Ann has worked for years to strengthen our community. She volunteers in her kids' classrooms at public school and at church. She has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations that assist people in need by helping them access food, housing, and a safe haven from domestic violence.

Ann previously served as Director of Program-related Investing at the Meyer Memorial Trust. The Meyer Trust is a local foundation that makes grants to assist charitable programs including food pantries, schools, and programs that serve frail seniors. While at the Meyer Trust, Ann underwrote $45 million in debt and equity investments to support community projects. She also designed the foundation's Affordable Housing Initiative, which will help deliver affordable housing to 25,000 people.

A project finance lawyer by training, Ann has worked at private law firms and as Co-director of the Community Development Law Center, which helps nonprofit organizations develop affordable apartments, childcare centers, and other community facilities. Ann graduated from Yale University and earned her law degree from New York University.
